Description
This 49-year-old came in requesting a consultation in our Raleigh practice for a rhinoplasty. She recently bumped her nose and felt that her breathing is slightly worse than it used to be. On examination, I found her nose to be large for her face. Her tip was bulbous and over-projected. She also had a very large dorsal hump. I also found her nose to be crooked slightly to the left. Internasal exam revealed a deviated septum to the right side. I recommended a cosmetic rhinoplasty with a septoplasty to correct her breathing. I used the video imaging computer to illustrate the changes that might be achieved. After recovery, the patient was very happy with the more balanced look of her nose and the improvement to her breathing. I was very satisfied with the outcome of this rhinoplasty procedure.
