Gravity doesn’t just affect the jawline and neck when it comes to aging. The brow or forehead can sag, too, and it can make you look tired, overwhelmed, or even stern or angry when you feel the exact opposite. Dr. Adam Stein has performed more than 100 brow lifts a year since opening Stein Plastic Surgery, so his experience and skilled artistry are unparalleled. A brow lift is a great way to refresh your appearance.

How Does a Brow Lift Work?

A brow lift (or forehead lift, as it’s sometimes called) traditionally begins with a large incision from ear to ear through the hairline. This technique results in a lot of swelling and bruising with prolonged recovery time. Thankfully, Dr. Stein has perfected a minimally invasive endoscopic brow lift, which involves small incisions and the use of a camera beneath the tissues to access the layer of muscle and tissues remodeled in the brow lift.

Depending on the case, he’ll extend the brow lift to the mid-face where fatty pockets can develop beneath the eyes. With careful precision and an experienced surgeon’s critically aesthetic eye, Dr. Stein repositions the underlying muscles and tissues and removes fat pads to restore your youthful contours. This procedure tightens a sagging brow to reduce overhanging, lifts your eyelids from drooping to brighten your eyes, smooths forehead wrinkles and brow furrows, and reduces the appearance of crow’s feet. A brow lift can turn back the clock by several years with a single procedure, and often pairs well with complimentary procedures, such as an upper or lower eyelid lift.

Am I a Good Candidate?

Patients who are concerned about drooping eyelids or a heavy, sagging brow, significant forehead wrinkles, and crow’s feet may be ideal candidates for a brow lift with double board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Stein. A consultation is a great place to get started.

What is the Recovery Like?

You’ll be home the same day. Your procedure is performed on an outpatient basis in the Stein Plastic Surgery accredited state-of-the-art surgical facility. Your safety is our top priority and once your procedure is performed, you’ll be monitored until you’re comfortable enough to return home. It’s best to have someone drive you and stay with you during the initial 24 hours following your brow lift.

Sleep and rest in an elevated position. Your tissues will heal best with proper support and blood flow, and an elevated position provides this for you. Stacking a few pillows on your bed or couch to prop you up will keep you comfortable and help reduce swelling.

Cold compresses will help with discomfort. In addition to the pain management plan you’ve worked out with Dr. Stein, having ice packs can reduce your swelling and bruising, which reduces your pain. The numbing effects of cold on your incisions can also keep pain levels minimized and manageable.

Returning to normal takes time, so rest as much as possible. It can be difficult to slow down in these modern times, but rest is very important to a smooth recovery. You may feel well enough to walk from room to room after the first day, but listen to your body and don’t overdo it. You may return to work 7-10 days after your procedure, and resume most of your normal activities, including exercise, after 3-4 weeks.

A brow lift at Stein Plastic Surgery can do more than open up your expression. It can restore your confidence and give you a whole new outlook on life.

Dr. Stein provided excellent outcomes. The resulted look natural and are consistent with what was explained before the surgery. I recommend Dr. Stein to everyone.
