What is Rhinoplasty Surgery Like?

Dr. Stein will perform the surgery under IV sedation or twilight anesthesia. Depending on the type of nose job performed, he will make incisions inside the nostrils or hidden within the creases of the nose. Once the nose heals, there will be no visible scars. Dr. Stein will then manipulate the structure of the nose, reshaping or replacing cartilage for the desired results.
How Long is Recovery After Rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty is an outpatient procedure, so you’ll be able to rest and recover in the comfort of your home. You will need to wear a splint for a week after the surgery and can expect swelling, bruising, and soreness. You should be able to return to your normal routine after approximately one week.
It will take a few months for the swelling to fade completely. The results of the nose job will appear within a few weeks, but it takes up to one year for your nose to fully heal into its final shape.
